Built by AV people, for the crews who keep shows running.
AV Overload exists because the audiovisual industry was buying gear in one place, finding crew in another, and training people almost nowhere. We put equipment, services and education under one roof so a production can be sourced, staffed and upskilled without leaving the platform.

Our vision
To become the operating layer of the global audiovisual industry — the single place where gear, talent and knowledge move. We want a technician in any city to be able to equip a show, hire a partner crew and certify their skills on the same account.
Our mission
To remove friction from AV production work: verified sellers with honest pricing, service providers you can actually vet, and training that leads to paid work. Every feature we ship must make a show easier to load in or a career easier to build.
What we do best
Our core competencies
Six capabilities that make AV Overload different from a generic online store.
Marketplace engineering
A dense, high-conversion catalog architecture built for 25,000+ SKUs, multi-seller inventory, and technical spec-led buying decisions.
Verified service network
Vetted production companies, technicians and installers matched to projects by industry, region and capability — not by guesswork.
Industry-authored education
Bootcamps and certificates written by working crew chiefs, engineers and riggers, mapped to real job requirements on site.
Trust & fulfilment
Buyer protection, seller vetting, transparent commission, secure checkout and fast dispatch on eligible stock.
Data & demand insight
Category demand signals that help sellers stock correctly and help providers price competitively across regions.
Crew-first support
AV specialists — not generalist agents — supporting buyers, sellers and providers seven days a week.
Founder
Cris J. — founder of AV Overload
Two decades on the floor, in the truck and behind the console.

Cris J.
Founder & CEO
Cris J. started as a stagehand pushing cases, moved through audio and video engineering, and spent years running installs and live events where a missing adaptor or an unqualified hand could cost a show. That experience shaped a simple belief: the industry does not have a gear problem or a talent problem — it has an access problem.
He built AV Overload to close that gap: a marketplace where verified sellers list the tools crews actually use, where production companies are judged on real credentials, and where a newcomer can train into a paid role through structured bootcamps instead of luck and word of mouth.
Founder's ambition
Cris J.'s ambition is to make AV Overload the industry's default infrastructure — training 50,000 certified crew members, onboarding thousands of verified sellers and providers, and expanding into rental, logistics and project management so that entire productions can be planned and resourced in one place. His forecast: the platform grows from a marketplace into the connective tissue of live production, with education feeding the workforce, services feeding the shows, and products keeping both running.
